Jewellery has not evolved with the people who wear it.
We built Vaima to change that.
One design. Your metal. No compromise on craft.
Fine jewellery in India has always been about occasion. A gift. A milestone. A box you open twice a year. The pricing was opaque. The quality was assumed. The customer was expected to trust without being told why.
That bothered us.
Not because the jewellery was bad — much of it was beautiful. But because the relationship between the brand and the buyer was broken at the foundation. You paid what you were told, wore what you were shown, and asked no questions.
The same design — a ring, a stud, a chain — was available in exactly one metal, at exactly one price point, decided by the brand. If you wanted it in 14K instead of 18K, or in silver before committing to gold, that choice simply did not exist. You either bought what was on offer or you walked away.
We did not think that was good enough.
Vaima was built around a different idea: one design, your metal. The same piece, the same look, the same diamond, the same craft, available in 925 silver, 14K gold, 18K gold, or 950 platinum. Not as a budget tier. As a genuine choice. Because the person who wants silver today might want gold next year, and both deserve the same quality and the same honesty.
The pieces themselves are designed around how people actually dress now. Minimal. Stackable. Worn daily, not saved. Gen Z in particular has fundamentally changed what jewellery means: it is not inheritance, it is identity. Worn to work, layered with other pieces, chosen deliberately. We design with that in mind.
“Three generations of our family built their lives around diamonds, cutting them, polishing them, trading them. I grew up knowing exactly what a stone was worth and why. Vaima is about giving every customer that same clarity.
Param Moradia's grandfather spent his career in the polishing and manufacturing of natural diamonds, taking rough, unpolished stones and transforming them into certified gems. His father moved into trading, building relationships across the natural loose diamond market for decades.
Param followed the same path. He traded natural loose diamonds across international ports, not domestically, but at the level where the global diamond trade actually moves. That exposure put him in close proximity to international brands, international buyers, and the design and trend conversations happening well before they reach Indian retail. He understood what was selling in New York and Antwerp before most Indian brands had a reason to care.
It also meant he knew exactly what a stone cost at origin, what margins looked like at every stage, and where the industry was hiding its numbers.
Then lab-grown diamonds arrived, and they were not what most of the industry wanted to admit. Chemically identical. Physically identical. Graded by the same institutions. Disrupting a market that had depended on scarcity as its primary value argument for over a century.
He also saw the gap. India's jewellery market had never given the everyday buyer — the woman buying for herself, the man wanting something minimal and well-made — a brand that spoke to them honestly. Real specifications. Real pricing. Real flexibility over metal choice without sacrificing the look they actually wanted.
That gap became Vaima.
Same diamond. Different origin. No compromise.
A Vaima diamond is not a simulant. Not moissanite. Not cubic zirconia. It is a real diamond — chemically and physically identical to a mined stone — graded by the same institutions, with SGL and IGI certification that tells you exactly what you are getting.
The difference is origin. Grown with precision in a controlled environment over several weeks, not extracted from the earth through open-pit mining that displaces communities and leaves a permanent mark on the land.
We chose lab-grown because the quality is verifiable, the origin is clean, and the price reflects what the stone actually costs — not what the market has been trained to charge. A lab-grown diamond requires no mining, produces a fraction of the carbon footprint, and carries zero conflict risk. That is not a marketing claim. It is a measurable fact about how the stone was made.
For those who want beauty without the ethical weight of extraction, this is it.
Chemically Identical
Same carbon structure as any mined stone. Same hardness. Same brilliance. Same grading scale.
Verifiable Certification
SGL and IGI grading on every stone. Certificate numbers you can check independently. No guesswork.
Grown Over Weeks
Precision growth in a controlled environment. Consistent quality at every stage. No mining. No displacement.
Honest Pricing
Price reflects what the stone actually costs. Verified metal rates. Published making charges. Full GST disclosure.
Five Things We Will Always Do
These are not aspirations. They are operational commitments. Every one of them costs us something — time, margin, or convenience. We made them anyway.
Specification Transparency
Every piece shows exact metal weight, current IBJA rate, making charge as a percentage, and GST. You can verify the metal cost component independently. Diamond pricing is legitimised by your SGL or IGI certificate, not by our word.
Real Certifications. No Exceptions.
Every diamond ships with an SGL certificate. Larger stones carry IGI certification. Both certificate numbers are yours, independently verifiable, permanently linked to your specific stone. If it says VVS1, it is VVS1.
30-Day Bank Refund
Not store credit. Not wallet points. Your money returns to where it came from within 30 days if you are not satisfied. This is the most basic promise in retail. We intend to keep it.
You See It Before We Ship
Every piece undergoes photographic quality inspection before dispatch. You receive images for approval before it leaves our hands. What you see is what arrives.
Real Humans. Four Hours.
WhatsApp response within four hours. A named relationship manager for every order above ₹15,000. We are not bots. We are people who care about what we sent you.
Everything here was made to be worn.
Not displayed. Not stored. Not saved for an occasion that may never come.
Vaima is made-to-order. Each piece is built for you, in the metal you choose, when you decide you want it. There is no pressure, no inventory clearing, no reason to move faster than feels right.
Where intention meets brilliance — that is not a line we put on a logo. It is the decision every customer makes when they choose exactly what they want, know exactly what they are paying for, and wear it every single day.
Take your time. Ask us anything. Every question gets a real answer from a real person.
